About the Author
Author M. Deborah Bowden received her MA in English from Ball State University. She taught English, literature, reading, and creative writing for 25 years, and also writing classes at Ball State University, Lima Technical College, and Clark Technical College. She helped develop Ohio high school state tests in English. Deborah was listed in “Who’s Who among America’s Teachers” in 1992 and 1994. She has been a guest speaker at writing workshops, and a story teller at various venues. She was an antique dealer from 1983 to 1990, and has bought and sold antiques for personal use since 1966. Deborah has contributed to three magazines: The Reflection Rag, Pen-It Magazine, & The Realm. Her writings have appeared in various anthologies. She has authored eight other books: Dandelions and Other Weeds; Daylilies and Nightshades; The Sack Lunch; The Adventures of Mr. Bramble Bones: Too Cold to Play; Mr. Bramble Bones and Grimmy Share a Home; Mr. Bramble and Grimmy Clean Up; Felicia Tales: The Many Misadventures of Felicia Brown; and Pat and Little Pat: A Slightly Unconventional Cookbook from a Dad and Daughter.

promoting and using the dolls as a premium to increase the sales of Lestoil, a liqiuid detergent...
Included, are photos of the many beautiful dolls that were available to the public for one dollar and the label from the Lestoil bottle, which at that time sold for 39 cents...

Beautiful book! It brings back such good memories of my youth. My sisters and I collected many of these dolls and proudly displayed them for many years. I can remember the eager anticipation of opening each box to see our newest addition. Little Lestoil Ladies also offers a detailed history of Lestoil and the Lestoil family, of which I am proud to be a member! Thank you Ms Bowden for this book that is so near and dear to my heart.
